Hi, my name is Chance Jiajie Li (zh:李嘉杰). I study systems, humans, and AI agents. I’m interested in how large systems shape individual behavior, and how human agency, in aggregate, reshapes systems in return.
I’m building Mohan (墨函)1a stealth startup and Fuwang (浮望洲)2a digitally mediated society. One is my venture, the other my mission. Both are experiments in how minds might resonate across time, space, and self.
I am a research affiliate at the MIT Media Lab, where I earned my M.S. under Prof. Kent Larson. Prior to MIT, I received a B.Eng. in Computer Science from Tongji University, Shanghai.
Some fun facts: I was a national track and field athlete, and a licensed TEDx organizer (serving as curator).

I’m open to thoughtful conversations on science or collaboration, though I may not reply to every message.
